Burglary in Heol Troeon Bach |

Hello Nick,
We received a call yesterday regarding a burglary that has occurred in Heol Troeon Bach over the weekend. Would it be possible for you to place a note on the website asking for any information or if anyone saw anything suspicious over the weekend please? The offence took place sometime between Friday and yesterday afternoon. Any help on this matter would be greatly appreciated.

Pig Roast Donation to Gelli Aur |

This year the Llanedi Pig Roast Committee has been able to support the Golden Grove Mansion Appeal. Organisers of this charity need to raise more than £2m to purchase Gelli Aur mansion near Llandeilo. They plan to develop it into a retreat for members of the armed forces and help those who have been damaged in conflict physically or psychologically. Currently there is no such facility in Wales. Regardless of our feelings regarding the justification of any conflict, I believe that Society has a moral responsibility to care for those injured in warfare.
We are pleased to be able to make a donation of £3000-00 towards the Appeal. A cheque will be presented in Tafarn y Deri at 6-45p.m. on Saturday Sept.4th.
I should like to take this opportunity to thank the Committee for all their hard work and to thank the people of Llanedi for supporting the Pig Roast and enabling us to make this donation.

Bishop Wynne to Visit Llanedi |

Bishop Wynne of St David's will attend a special service at St Edith's Llanedi on Monday 6th of September at 7.00 p.m. All are welcome to join the congregation on this sprecial occasion to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the reconsecration of the church in 1860. Light refreshments will be served after the sevice in the newly refurbished church hall |
