hi following the pact meeting last month

i've spoken to pcso steve lloyd on Saturday, he informs me he has been up near the school with a hand held speed gun monitor, i've also raised the issue with the county council and i've had a response about moving the count and monitoring traffic speeds etc

i wrote about the email response in my local personal blog

Today I met mike jacob the traffic management officer,

We met at 9am outside the school and then travelled towards tycroes stopping at several locations and we witnessed about six vehicles passing us, during our chat

Mr jacobs was going to email me with outcomes of the discussions today

But here's a summary

Following a further count wire near the school (on the tycroes side) it is clear traffic has been travelling in excess of the 30 mile speed zone towards the school, the results has now moved this location and area back into an exception speed camera partnership site,

the speeds were also confirmed by the recent police exercise that i participate in and wrote about in my blog which were held at the school with the static SID, what was noted as soon as the highways traffic police cars moved from site, vehicles started setting off the SID over 40 miles per hour.

I understand from the local pcso further excersise like the previous one are being planned.

Today when we travelled from the school to the further end of the village in the 40 mile an hour zone, mr jacobs agreed to put speed count equipment down (at more than one location) to access traffic volumes and speeds in this area, and adviced that once this was done his department would analaysis the information and report back to myself once results are known
